The client, a high-profile waste management company in Basingstoke, recently invested in a new purpose built workshop facility to service and maintain its fleet of vehicles.
H-Racks were awarded with the contract to install the storage equipment needed plus a mezzanine floor to make good use of the available height of the building.
The project contained a number of different storage systems to create a solution bespoke to the client’s needs.
The mezzanine floor will be used for storage purposes and the client will be using the floor space to accommodate several bays of their own existing shelving.
The MezzGuard mesh barrier system ensures that products cannot fall off the mezzanine whilst doubling up to provide handrailing, designed to withstand the correct impact side load.
We installed two bays of heavy duty Longspan Shelving (1153kgs per level) with chipboard decking, this will be sued to store large boxed goods and heavy equipment.
A single bay of steel shelving complete with a binning system will be used for the storage of small vehicle parts and components.
The client required a short run of heavy duty pallet racking to store numerous palletised stock items.
We also installed a 3mm chequer plate worksurface to the first pallet racking level as this will be used as a workbench.
